This has become our new cheeseburger place of pref. Fries are great too, must order separately-generous portion. Burgers are smash type & good size. My spouse loves the spicy, white chicken breast sandwich. We order buns & spec sauce on the side. This thing can serve 2. Its not greasy or poor quality chicken either, owner def seems to take pride. Everytime we go (wkly), folks are driving up like crazy-also discovering this gem! Its in a Groton plaza next to Dollar General, bank, furniture store, etc. w/Groton post office behind the bldg. All im sayin' is go, youll be glad u read my review here. Par Four Restaurant was my former #1 for cheeseburger in Groton, Astin J's has rolled over them.

You MUST try this place if you're a fan of burgers, chicken, and soul food! We got takeout and it was a little wait but totally worth it! We highly recommend the spicy chicken sandwich, the garlic parm tots, and the poppers- our favorite flavors were honey bbq and garlic buffalo! They have amazing customer service too when we noticed one item was missing they made it right immediately! Family run business with a great cause supporting families affected by autism. Cannot say enough good things. Forgot to take pics before DIVING FACE FIRST into the delish grub.

Great food prepared fresh! I love the smashed burger and the lemon pepper french fries. The service is excellent, and everyone is very friendly. I can't wait to try more items from the menu. All of the photos on the walls are created by children with Autism, and they are all so amazing.

In town for work and saw good reviews so I figured I would give it a try. I had the Burria taco plate with the Spicy Beef Queso. The food was simple but delicious! Probably one of the better tacos I have ever had. The chips and queso had a touch of heat, but not overbearing. All in all, the food was great and a reasonable price. The restaurant itself was clean and had hand drawn art for the decor. Simple but nice. The only reason I docked one star was because it seemed like the restaurant was under staffed. When I walked in, there wasn't anyone at the register to take my order. It took a couple of minutes for someone to come out, but it got done. I witnessed the same thing happening to other customers that came in while I was eating. It was still better than waiting in a long line though. Food did come from the kitchen quickly though. I will definitely eat here again in the future!

What a surprise this place was! I ordered take pit only because I was already in the plaza and I was shocked by how good it was! I asked to make a few small modifications to my order and all were done without issue. The flavors are GREAT and I am looking forward to going back again!

I was recently craving a burger and had heard excellent things about Astin J's- it did not disappoint! The waitress who took my order was very friendly and attentive, and my food came out quickly. The burger was VERY good. It is classic smash burger, something that's hard to find around here at a restaurant that isn't a chain. They put their own twist on it- the sauce is delicious. I also had an order of wings, and they were some of the best I've ever had! The inside of the restaurant is nice, the bathroom was clean, and the food and service were great. An excellent spot to grab lunch or dinner- I will definitely be back.

Has not disappointed yet and only continues to improve. I had an opportunity to speak with some of the members of this family owned business in Groton. I was super impressed to hear about and read about their story. In a family of generations of Army and Navy, a former Army chef is now serving great food to the visitors and residents of the Navy town of Groton, the Submarine Capital. Drawings on the wall and the kid friendly menu make Astin J's very appealing for the whole family. Located in the former Thai Sawasdee restaurant, Astin J's serves up really great food at reasonable prices. For dining in or take out I highly recommend Astin J's!
